That is a strange view you are having. The EU was a peace deal, but in order to build an economic block against communism. Peace is more than no gun fights.
The EU will die.
This is because it is innefficient from its core, but also through all of its institutions. It even has two parliament building quarters of which one is empty at the time the other is busy, in two different nations 433km apart. The voted representatives have to travel between Brussels and Strassbourg and that ain no day trip.
What do you think is possible in a system that has two parliament buildings with offices, cantines, homes and security forces so far appart that those using both spots need a place to stay over night?
That noone tries to change that by either vote, bombs, influence or corruption means that somehow everybody agrees that EU institutions are innefficient, have no say, can be argued with for ever or at least spend their time travelling, but are better not working.
The EU registry for patents is in Barcelona, the EU central bank is in Frankfurt, the pharmcutical body is in Amsterdam, funny enough and e.g. Cybersecurity is in Attiki and that will make sure that IT high profiles from the European version of the MIT will stay in places they have heard of .... and the list goes on being named decentralised so that everyone gets the joke.
Basically, the idea of the EU is peace by work therapie and making sure that noone can have full straight down control.....ever again....
We need to get that chaos down to the streets everywhere and keep saying all is in good order.

Instead, there is a chance that those profiting most and having the power will decide to pull that blanket for all of us and burn it. Beside the nations of the EU only internationaly operating large enterprises have enough economic, political and also military power to trigger change.
Both the Deutschland AG and La Defance are well able to decide to use the same channels that stop efficiency reforms of the EU to end the project.
Some time later, they will call BlackWater to go against each other, which is when I start looting to bring it to those off gated corporate communities being back in the familiy business of travelling knight thieves templar style in a handicaped dystopian new world order being in arms neither legaly nor illagely in absence of written human laws...#cyberpunkcoltoure
Just how realistic and likely this chance is I can't tell unbiased, just as much Bill Gates predicting that a world wide virus will come within only a year.
