This is one of the best video graphic art impressions on the infamous Cyberpunk game I came across. Cyberpunk is first of all a Sci-Fi genre placed in a not that distant, but dark world.
There are two main branches. Cyberpunk and Shadowrun. Only William Gibson created another, but novel only, Cyberpunk world of big calibre.
We won't create a Cyberpunk world, but might end up soon in a Dystopia considering the current world wide situation and yet another nuclear powers bitching session on who dominates whom.
All Cyberpunk worlds have in common that our Western society collapsed and the social structures turned pretty much like in the rest of the world called by us rich wealthy parasites, The Third World.
We have a good shot at copying the Cyberpunk game social structures, especially if we go now into a long term war instead of finally prosecuting Nazi criminals among those living the same attitude. You don't have too look far. They still have Holocaust cash and plenty of it.
We have not advanced far enough in medicine and computer technology to build brain and computer interfaces. In theory it should be possible to plug directly into a computer, because also the human body has an electric voltage of just about 0.07 volts according to Dr Google.
Despite what ever marketing genious Mr Musk put into someones brain, and even old reports someone managed to connect a rat brain to a CPU, we are way of any USB plug for a brain. We cannot even hook up on nerves to control an artificial leg. So all Cyborg tech is out.
Drugs are quite around and every doctor has something against everything no matter your feedback, just like in the video game all about those that dropped out of the corporate world, hiding in towers and gated comunties, have to hustle, but with some more laverage against the nation and especially its Police force keeping it all tight for corporations build on Jewish blood and declared as such.
Pretty much as everywhere in the southern hemisphere, actually, where Police has to face resistance, if crossing the line of respect and therefore think before act.

PS:And magic as in Shadowrun? Well some believe a plastic talisman with scratch resistant ink gives super powers. Does. For humans. Others are just assholes and annoy you into therapy.
