how would it go down? This time is the Dark Modern Ages, because we have imense global inequality and despite exponential technological advances that reached a plateau most humans on earth are excluded from allmost all industrialisation and resulting mobilisation and digitalisation without any strategies in place to change that. Instead, there was not one single day without war or a shot fired in hostility since the beginning of mass produced small arms.
In the end of the day we humans did not manage to adjust our behaviour in the same way our technology developed. We are kinda still on horse back with neighbours that we either know for well or that is days away with long travelles needing weeks or months in our social capabilities instead of having arrived in an all connected digital high speed travelling one globe society.
Mankind needs to change, but dramatically. According to Darwin such change is called mutation and can happen in two ways: By training and selfimprovement and forced by nature by e.g. a Virus or DNA changes over one or a few generations that appear also spontainously without a visible trigger.
As a matter of fact, biohacking, life improvement lessions, quality of live medication and lifestyle vlogs are a major business which indicates that many are looking for inspiration to develop themselves and Covid-19 might trigger DNA mutations.
The problem will be those that refuse to become more social in an all more crowded world and that consider sharing a weakness. We will have to share with the 3rd world and pay appropriately in return for the goods they have as e.g. resources or vacation spots.
Slavery inherits no progress and neither does exploitation, but we still have humans in powerful positions that deny that fact or keep desguising surpression of others for their own benefit. Winning a war only can happen by killing or destroying the enemy.
All those that do not understand that war is destruction and peacful harmony is progress are the problem becoming again louder, visible and most likely brutally violant.
The Nazis are just the beaten worst, the CIA is just the in charge most corrupt of all thieves and African War Lords are just the most shortsighted of the brutal violant in a mankind that needs to manage to live in love, peace and harmony to be able to live with 20 Billion and more humans to soon settle on neighbouring planets and travell past this globe regularely.
We wont make it by war, but have to have war against those that live by war.
