The Germans have no options, but to move away. Already, the entire system in no place worse than in Germany forces to move into the centers and from the centers into the metropoles away from rural areas leaving smaller towns empty. Based on German laws a habitat below 1000 humans is categorized as Village, below 10.000 as a Small Town and above 100.000 a Main Town, of course, per legislation.
The Dutch have no way than to adjust by enforcing their most likely already well maintenant damm structures and think way more about controlled flood areas and living on water with water than if a concret wall in the English Channel was anything but realy stupidly pushing concret prices onto Gold levels.
The Germans believing their own legend of being the workaholic nation rather than the main amphetamin junkies looking bussy while being radio active all electric, have not invested a cent in the dam structures that pushed the north sea off the historc low swamp land reaching as far as to Hannover being for centuries the pick up spot for all that made it past the Letzer Hieb avoiding Galgenberg. I am sorry.
Keeping the floods away and dealing with rising ground water levels would mean billions of smart investements by a nation that failed to build a hall with concrete a strip called their Capital's Airport in anything like estimated costs or time frime creating a new form of miracle. Poor, but sexy and all on speed. The drugs part Berlin did not mention mean assholes the Germans are in their vacation brochures.
I wonder where they will go. Hannover to Wolfsburg might be their actual prevered choice being the actual core of the Germans that originated from the old swamp areas; Berlin is hated by all and their own media made sure only those in need of wellfare support will consider that option; Hamburg will take a lot being both dirty and rich and the rest will be soacked up by the northern outskirts of the Rhein-Ruhr Sprawl that actually reaches way down south to Main and Neckar ending just short of the Black Forest being the Germans main economic region with plenty of recreational rural areas inbetween from farm land to forests and mid-mountains all well conected by train and roads.
It might get niceier in the Dutch parts of Friesland....soon.
