So, the Pick-Up turned out to be the most important militia level weapon in all recent small arms conflicts, but it remains a lousy design. All they do is mount an old anti-aircraft gun or any .50cal machine gun.

The first issue is that the car itself is not turned more manouverable and I am sure they flipp, if the big cal guns are fired while moving. Than there is no way to keep that gun stable, even if it is just a light machine gun and obviously scrap matel armour is bad armour.
