To encourage the Russians

to not use a current ammunition shortage and weakness of NATO to attack with troops directly, NATO better not stresses its Naval strenght, but starts special forces manouvers focusing on defending core strategic terretories over attacking or counter attacking.

To keep NATO alive and give Russian forces a harder time, NATO must make clear that they accept their defence position, that a main tank battle on open fields is not their intention, but that instead all forces will be put around parameters of core importance.

E.g.
If the Rhine-Main-Ruhr-Neckar is the industrial center closiest to Russia, while London, Paris and Rotterdam are the core office and logistic points, as much as Warsawa and Lissbon are core towns, NATO must practice to defend these spots and the connections within by combined forces.

That means that Polnish Tanks will be located around Warsawa creating a or several rings difficult to be attacked by Russian forces in comibination with elite infantry securing suburbs, fighter jets countering artillery coming close, but for the price of Russians having easily a beer in Krakow after crossing the boarder facing no direct resistance.

Obviously, urban widespread areas such as Glasgow to Manchester are more difficult to defend with the German industrial center being the biggest, but Russian troops can be defeated only, if secured parameters are not taken, yet Russian forces continue to loos by advancing against troops familiar with the local area, being well connected having and having ultra short comando and logistc path ways, while a classic war strategy scenario, as currently in the very long frontline of the Donbass, threatens to become a loos it all scenario.

We all know who was just screaming....
