The scenario is a tiny forest with three small positions that get attacked by as many units. Both sides are light infantry and the positions are no more than rat nest called quickly created badly fortified positions for light to super light infantry.
Super light infantry is no NATO or Russian regular term, but these men appear to carry lighter guns than every light infantry. They do have neither any gunner with an M60 style machine gun or a small mortar, despite any full automatic .50 cal that would need two soldiers to be carried.
Despite the need to attack instead of ignoring until the positions are fortifed and than attacking the supply line, they come like Bears looking for a bride.
Positions like this are either taken out by rocket launching systems from distance, classic artillery as such NATO currently produces on trucks, morter teams closing in and, if by Infantry, at night looking for the chain smokers.
A U.S. Army Recon Platoon would take each of the positions out just to create a short cut or avoid a detour. This is not arrogance, it is the difference of excellence that does exist within forces, and shows that both sides hold back their eilte. No Russian equivalent would do anything else but create a minefield trap by building rat hole positions for someone that does not like to detour...
Sadly, mass recruited forces are that current Ukrainian level, too.
NO DRAFT!
SPIT YOUR MP IN THE FACE IF THEY ENFORCE
SOLDIER!
PS: From 04:51 to 05:30 If you create foot prints in the snow everyone else would do too. If there are no foot prints all around the nest and even snow all over the wood securing the entrence, it must be empty, except you just had a lot of fresh snow and should not be there as this time.
Does that make sense or is it "wirr"?
