Some Virus are not recogniced by modern commercial Anti-Virus software. Those are actually ignored based on contracts between the corpo world and Secret Services.
There are two ways Anti-Virus software works. The easiest is by scanning for the signature of a known Virus based on a constantly updated list created by found Virus.
The second is monitoring the protected system and scanning for malicious activity such as opening ports for data streams, accessing the cam or key logging.
Anti-Virus software also has a sginature and all corpos have known update servers that update over the internet local systems. If you hijack a hub having analysed the update list signature a mighty hacker crew could add some missing signatures and even add a derouting of the stream to sniff, end or exchange.
That means NSA, Anonymous, FSB and Chinese can and possibly will soon understand whom you spy on within The West.
