Do you know what is realy realy shitty?

Standard NATO wet weather woodland clothing, like these poor guys have. The realy good clothing is the US military onion like ECWCS set of the extreme cold weather clothing system.
With only parts of it I had a great vacation at the Polar Circle in Tromso, Norway, but NATO never managed to create something appropriate for cold rainy weather even so that is the main climate zone of its terretory.
The camouflage jacket is Goretex and realy high quality, but will not withstand long rain. The Poncho from since Vietnam is basically a Confed joke against GIs, but in hot humid weather with only a bullet west below does make a lot of sence way of clothing rules even so you will get wet. The Germans have a fully rubber Poncho that will make everyone that moves sweat so badly, that is either a realy bad joke or they still only drive from MG Nest to MG Nest like their SS daddies did.
Than, below the jacket is also only water catching material from jumper to T-Shirt from cotton and the more time a soldier spends in rain the more he will be soaking wet to the skin, but with cold water. Above freezing point, that won't kill you, but still give you a horrible time and most likely make you catch a cold in no time, which will than kill you indirectly or save your soul.
Actually, it is not that difficult. It still needs several layers of clothing and they need to be quickly exchangable to put on a rain proove layer when sitting that also has comouflage ability and is properly water tight with no 5000 I fool you water pilar bullshit certifcate and below another layer that is like GoreTex not making you swet, lets water pearl off and a way to store the water tight part before moving. Getting in and out that rain proof part before moving in only rain resistance clothing would be a drill like Gas mask on and off.
Just, physics don''t apply in their world: The Pentagon's Supply CIA Officers. Like in 03:40 the soldiers at the machine gun are wet within about 5 minutes, won't dry on the way when taking next position, because NATO has no rubber Poncho that could be used as a blanket to lay on.

PS: And no one taught them to use natural cover at all....Instead they fight the rain. How many enemies do you need for your men, Stoltenbergy?
Natural cover?
Ok. So wind comes in rain. When you find a spot in which the rain and wind goes above you, stay there.
