This guy is having a hype and using it. Alpina does the same as he does and for years, but quite settled and in known established silence as Swiss will do their banking. Alpina does with BMWs without the CEO in your face the same he does with Mercedes and Porsche. The cars are also more suttle in designe and recognisable from the outside only by the brand's small pinestripes, but all have engine updates and soft interior upgrades. Nobody knows the CEO of Alpina, he might be sitting at the Cote d'Azure and enjoy his ownership of a nice good company having made sure his CEO is a great manager.
Rulership needs understanding of the daily business and representing the leadership to the workers as much as the brand to the outside. A car that only has pine stripes and no full body kit cannot come with a in your face CEO couch surfing from pot cast to pot cast always risking to killing the hype by becoming boring by repetition.
Ownership needs understanding of the overall market, spending limits and still some micro economic basics with a lot of social understanding of humans to choose the appropriate manager set for all yourself, managers and employees.
TheGermans have a problem like the Isrealis. They know they fucked up. Isreal drove away the locals, Germans have money because of industrialised murder. Everyone is only responsible for his own actions, but no action stands alone in the galaxy and is instead interconnected and embedded in history.
You can fix the wrong doings or just mistakes of your ancisters that created your ownership or rule, ignore them, reject them or continue them.
I came to fix up some and will stay until the job is done.
