This is a classic stereotypical report of a German-French national funded channel on the Yakuzza. They report about a Yakuzzi killing a Major and his comment on it, but they don't let him speak and instead show some too familiar faces. It quite might be the MTV Bloods'n'Crips strategy.
All I know about Yakuzza is that they derive from the ancient and historic structure of the Japanese Society. For actually thousands of years, and not just hundreds as here in Europe, they had a united Aristocracy that had managed to build one people based on a common language. The Asia of the Jungle all around Vietnam, Laos and Thailand called Oceania is way more like Europe than China and Japan being the same in their length of internal unity.
But this was no feudal system of exploitation. Instead the Aristocracy was also organiced in Castles or Houses like structures protecting their manufacturing facilities, trade markets and agricultural plantations also with weapons. The Citizens just were not called as such and the Clerics were way closer to Knighthood than in Europe. Basically, society was tighter united with less clear differences in geography, language and rights or privileges than in many parts of war shaken Europe fighting off feudalistic rule over and over again.
Asia was always wealthier than Europe, due to fair unity, with a higher amount of literatures, while we were the way more ruthless and brutal in combat.
With industrialisation the first European Feudal Lords also came to Asia and the Opium War kicked off Asien resistance against the worst among us. In this time the Triads were born and shortly after the Yakuzza as the Vice or Clandestine devisions against an alien invasion forigne to the Buddhist way of live dominant all of Asia.
