There once was a small Ice Age shortly after humans in Europe and China with all inbetween started using easy to mine brown coal to heat their homes. But they have not had precise temperature meassuring tools.
This year it is colder than usal, but not factually, only the subjective temperature is way lower wich is by missing sun and having heavy rain falls instead.
Climate change will increase the water circulation and this year could be the first typical year of the future. It is warmer and rains a very lot, but in most times of the year it does not feel like while only the rain stays in the mind.
In our society this is dangerous. Wet roads cause a lot of accidents. Blocked roads are even worse and insurance companies will cut down on spots threatend by high water leaving those that bought a house in a bad place or have badly maintained flood barriers into financial crisis. Also, if the moisture changes productive field fruits also change as different crops and vegetables react very differently on wet grounds.
The Tourism Industry will also suffer and everyone that bought a vacation home down south, but with no heated pool or even without central heating will have lost its clients or faces major investements destroying the return of investement planning. Beside, in all rain and cold you well can spare long travell times by car or plane, except you are into riding, which might change entire regions.
It does not look for those in The West that prevered ignoring all over caring and learning as who will blame whom in a selfish ellbow society...
