if it is Tourism? There are two groups locals don't like, but the media promots in every place they both meet. Police and Tourists.
Police is some guy from somehwere that comes into your borrow and tells you what to do, a Tourist is someone from somewhere that comes into your borrow and is just shy of telling you how to pose for his photo or how much your shoes are of if you can bring him a soft drink like the one you have there.
Jokes aside, is Tourism as we know it and cultivate in The West in no way social, but always stressing the area it hits. Venice needs to start taking tax for visiting the City Center. Lissboa has locals shout at tourists to get out and needs Air BnB restrictions in place.
My theory is, that the more a place is taking over by unsocial tourist, the more crime it will also attract.
