It is basically a tube with a spring and bolt, a barrel with chamber and a trigger mechanism.
That the mag goes in sideways makes it just more reliable in combination with lubricant and not awkward at all.
As lubricant you can use, butter, magarine, massage oil or mechanical fat and oils.
