The overreactions on having lost authority will increase into a total loss of control of force by Polizei at some not that distant point in time.

In some time you can witness defacto executions to restore order of humans causing civil unrest yet having surrenderd already. 

You have to understand that in WW3 turning hot they would have opened fire against peace demonstrations to clear roads on order.

Everyone with a psychological profile of having a moral conflict of shooting at peaceful protesters was and is inappropriate for German Polizei Service. 

I am serious. They are the worst gang around on these Streets and you don't deal with them - ever.
