The Grand Stations were supposed to be hubs of a journey, providing all needed for a journey ontop of the transport mean. It had an outside place to meet and greed, to rest and enjoy and to say good bye being easily accessible by car, bus or town railway.
It had a hall with shops offering all for the journey and souvenirs with even some beyond travelling.
And finally platforms to access the transport to near and far.
