If Elon Musks company can from here do rocket launches than finally a private company, and thereby the Trashury and economy, can benefit from State financed research.
That also means there are resources set free that can now start with research using its scientific network to develop alternative technologies to rocket launches.
Such as super high altitude gliders build from high tech materials. Or catapult starts with dart like hulls.
Which design is best? Monowing with B2 like large surface or slim glider plane like with very wide wings?
Magnetic rails or a wire in which angle with which maximum load?
There are no patents on NASA or any State sponsored research deriving technology and if licence policy must be pro market laws.
