A glider is a plane with very large wings creating great lift compered to the weight. It's hull is made as light as possible by material, designs and construction used.
The only disadvantaged, even if designed with staggering wings, is that such cargo gliders would need wide air strips to land and take off from.
So, no woodland except you'd fold them above treeline and start empty full throttle having unusual great suspension on that landing gear.
