The Unit knowns how to survive, must have lousy weapon skills, but has short distance surveillance tools at hand.
I am also convinced that both sides use the same strategy of sending human targets forward to then shell the approximate estimated position of resistance against the forward movement.
That is not Reconnaissance, but at all.
Considering the enormous distance the frontline stretches out over and assuming that these units are the main organisational structure applied to the battlefield, it means the battlefields of The Ukrainian War is One, two thousand kilometers of small units fighting each other in the size of the A-Team.

Small Unit warfare is for Special Forces that go on heavy impact missions based on Secret Service based information having had a lot of planning and way more non active combat support ready than these units will ever see.
These Units in Ukraine won't be able to significantly advance into enemy territory, because they lack supply line capability, mechanised transport means and movable Unit HQs. They need several hours to build up and dissemble a Cellar HQ instead of flipping keys of an armoured Truck with a Container HQ as used by NATO Devisions that bulk force to increase their hit impact yet being incapable of stretching out over a such long stretched frontline.
There is no way one side can win that militarily, even so it will on TV look and sound like, but this is an economic war of the meanest kind. Small Arms fire dominates modern warfare while their strategy is dominated by small and heavy artillery shelling each other rather than engaging in long intense firefights.
This means two things:
The West loosing this will be economically way harder hit than at this point admitted or foreseen and the next generation of rouge Gangs has great unmatched experience in fighting against small units of a few dozent armed operatives from an area where nobody shouts "Halt! Oder ich schiesse." before starting engaging the enemy.
If they meet and unite with Syndicates capable of supplying both standard military tools and good Fixer Intel, The Kingdom of Hell in Europe will be way worse, but because of you... NATO and Ukrainian High Command.
