hits up to 2.5km away on sight, can there be systems firing 5km or 10km away based on fire and seek giving it an only an initial approximate direction?

So, a Raccoon can be equipped with a laser pointer that transmittes a position to e.g. a Jet or Artillery Rocket system.

Can a Satellite Observing unit in St.Petersbourg give a soldier coordinates of targets he can't see, but is within range even knowing their equipment and ammo level?
