Shabbat excludes full combat gear or its just a Saturday, I've heard. Like no rules and you can happily jerk off at a nude beach for example.
A Kabala legend or metaphore goes that only when every Jew sticks for two consequitive Shabbats to the Shabbat rules, the Messiah will come to establish the next Kingdom in the Holy Land.
