Look at the second car he shows off, the Mercedes GT.
The car is a sportscar, convertable, has high horse power and a not way too small trunk. It is what it sais, a Grand Tourismo.
There a many that can afford that car, there are more that get that car and even more that want that car.
In a healthy society, that car would be bought to do a Grand Tour, a long journey. As an example: A husband would take his wife with little luggage onto a trip to Italy, France, Poland or Denmark turning the way there to a part of the vacation.
He would have a house or large appartment and that car would be most of the time in a Garage to be used for such vacation trips and sometimes for a joy ride over the country side. He would have next to that car an S orE-Class, to stay with Mercedes, for business trips and regular call a Cap to get him to the railway station or airport. For the weekly Grocery shopping an A-Class would be also owned. He would have a fully digital home office capable of reaching everyone in his company or the one he works for.
He would have four to five children with his wife that could, but would not have to work having her own car or even cars.
Others making less working would have the same, just from Vauxhall made from cheaper materials.
This was life before two World Wars, if you'd take horses and cars for the automobile car.
Today, that GT is used to show status and as a daily only vehicle, hardly sees any journey while guys like me are doing all this with just one small car actually made for students as their first car making me haveing to avoid eye contact at Aldi and drive off too fast to be further bullied by an ignorant idiot addicted to atleast Credit and enforcing Values murdering our native European life without even realising what they do being busy to feel superior instead of atleast sorry for me...having problems getting the food into the trunk when I am gone already.
