Hypotheses on the Bigger Picture

Ever heard of the Little Ice Age?
The Little Ice Age was a period of cooling that occurred from roughly the 14th to the 19th centuries (1300-1850). It followed the Medieval Warm Period and preceded the present period of warming. During this time, mountain glaciers expanded in several locations, and mean annual temperatures across the Northern Hemisphere declined
Or the Dark Mid Ages?
The "Dark Ages," also referred to as the Early Middle Ages, is a term historians use to describe the period in European history roughly between the fall of the Western Roman Empire (around 5th century CE) and the beginning of the Renaissance (around 14th century CE). This era is characterized by a perceived decline in cultural and intellectual advancement, though this view is debated by many historians. The term "Dark Ages" was coined during the Renaissance, reflecting a contrast with the perceived decline after the Roman Empire

That is no coincidence and overlines with tremendous changes in European life that reflected world wide.

Do the math.
