Today our Monetary Order allows one currency per terretory. In every shop that accepts a foreigne currency they do a currency exchange actually, rather then letting you pay with that foreigne money.
Strictly speaking, are all Cryptos legal only as long nothing can be bought by them.
Our books are basically wrong and telling lies or atleast a one sided story. The past, before two World Wars and the Ocean of Lies as a fundamental ruling principal did not know Credit Money or a Single Currency. Gold was turned into Coins, but as much was Silver, Bronze and also paper notes were circulating. If someone had Gold, either digged out of the soil, washed from a river or exchanged for a good he had harvested or build he had several choices, because Gold was a source material itself. He could keep the nuggets at a save place for bad times and not talk about it or build a castle around it, he could sell it to a Gold Smith who turned it into a luxurious item of the time making profit, bring it to a market to weigh it on a scale to know the value and exchange it for either goods or coins traded at that market or sell it to a bank owned by a larger organisation like a Church, an Order, a Lord or a Citizens Family or Clan who'd turn it into coins for trade and as a currency.
A coin from far away was a nicier looking nugget at most other markets capable of offering enough value for that amount of Gold.
Back in those days Gold and Silver were the most attractive materials representing money, because they were rather tiny in volume and weight compered to its value and found demand world wide, wide Bronze quickly attracted falsificators and was most commonly used by the poorer of society.
This was before mass production and the only difference becomes clear when looking around your sofa now.
What do you see?
You will see first larger items like a table and TV. Possibly smaller items like your trousers and a CD collection. Maybe also a lemonade in a glass. None of these products were produced within walking distance of your sofa in most places; Many not even in driving distance.

In Munich, New York or Lagos the milk in the fridge, the tap water and pretty much every thing you pay for, and there is nothing for free anymore in this World of Greed, being used daily and so normally that no one thinks about it anymore first, is still produced within about a days walk, that's anything between 30 and 60km even so not trained having some rest in a 16h wake period of a 24h day the muscle pain the following days excluded.
That means those Goods having the most turn over are all local and can be from now on payed in a local currency without any major impact onto the system....strictly speaking.
