PS: Worming up the engine an deicing the windscreen are two things. The heater needs to produce warm air, that requires the engine to have temperature. The correct procedure is starting the engine, turning on the heater to max onto the windscreen, pooring cold water over the windscreen when the first warm air comes and to keep using the with anti-icing filled windscreen water until the screen remains clear to then drive. The price is new windscreen rubber before and after the winter.
