So, CNN actually explaines what happened, in opposite to the Germans. To keep along story short is Trump after having been fucked by Congress in his last tenure as President over Trumpcare exploring the bounderies and borders of being a President.
That is no problem as such, to me... ;-)
The court, which is specialized in trade affairs, basically said Trade Deficit is no National Emergency, which I tend to partially disagree, but the U.S. cannot rule the entire world and the trade imbalances are a global economic problem making sure that Product does not is where its needed.
The Trump Crew now might argue why in detail there is a national emergency that can be fixed by direct tariffs related to the taxed products. All materials needed to make synthetic drugs would be covered by the War on Drugs, Moslem Carpets not by the War on Terror no matter the size.
Arguing that the downfall of certain industries can be fixed by taxes over e.g. applying Anti-Trust Laws or supporting innovation research is something I wanna hear on life-stream, to be honest.
Interestingly, it was some smaller companies and no GE or IBM that won that one.
As soon as they hit Supreme Court they will receive most likely rather quickly a fine and understandable explanation of the borders of Presidential power and no one will thank Rebell Trump for that one for ever, I guess.
#neversurrender ;-)
PS: I hope the Supreme Court finds also the appropriate words to recall all politicians to play fair, without their ego in the way, with all actions for The People acknowledging that having best intentions and doing the best requires a certain base under constant check.
