You want to use AI as is to run over data points in a lean production factory to optimize the work and work environment. Technical perfection is 99.9% fault free output. The more data a factory collects from its production line quality management the lower that number will be and if they don't the more expensive the recalls will become.
AI can help, if someone understands to ask the correct questions accepting the answers, to find those parts that cause sick time for workers by injuries, those items that have a higher fault rate and chains of events that cause injuries or faults.
AI is not creative. AI might find its limits if it is about finding new ways of moving an industrial robots arms more efficiently in a chain of robots interacting. It's creativity is actually a brute force attack onto a password. You can use psychology and social engineering to make the guy tell you his password or use long list of passwords and try them. That one billion data points as training data is before the AI even starting to calculate options and that is before trying them.
