So, money is made, if made, by work. A kind of work that creates a lot of value which results in money, otherwise it is inherited or stolen. Those that steal blow the money, since about ever. Those that inherited money either blow it because it was stolen like the Germans do or continue working with it as it is family money.
To create value it needs talent, training and education combined with an environment to produce items of value.
The heads of Louis Vuitton are working in an office. From the creative designer to the contract signing owner of the company all being in need of what an office for a design based value creating company offers. They are not in Monaco or the Bahamas, because the don't need beaches or luxurious coastal roads except for vacation.
The most respectable of those living in Monaco actually only have their residency there, but work somewhere else. F1 race drivers work in a car, need a test track and team and keep traveling from race track to race track. They are at home in Monaco only when not working.
