The problem with NASCAR style driving is tunnel vision due to constant high speed cruising in a pack of cars. The stress is different than in Rally or F1, but in no way less.
Imagine being in a traffic Jam in the outskirts of a European Metropole like on the ring of Paris, a London Motorway or the Dutch Highway network, but not moving with 30km/h, instead doing on average of 289.68 kph with no one all around you minding any scratches what so ever letting you know.
