He is not joking and is 100% convinced that there is no chance the pictures are a mean joke.
I am not sure how 80% unemployment would create a restaurant scene like that except by a realy dark strategy of exchanging the population with fake Gazans or a two class society. The demolishment of the few settlements was by force and those that had to leave were part of the ultra-right wing of the Israeli society up for mean tricks if it leads to success.
We can be sure only that Hamas is not defeated yet and withstands longer than expected by the IDF.
The rest is speculation and will get ever more difficult to be defeated by logic and reason.
