Watches are no time measuring device, in a physical way.
Time is a Dimension. Einstein figured that like Newton Gravity.
Watches are a time indicating device. They use a trick based on the laws of the first three ever bound together dimensions in order to help us about time.
We have no device to really sensor time. If time would slow down, some watches might get it others not. Gravity influences the function of a watch, but not time, at least can we not proof it by a device. We can only reason, if a watch would show us based on the three dimensions laws that time changed.
Einstein thought a lot about the Time Space connection in which space is the three dimensions. The first three weeks understood as dimensions.
We still have little reasoning about the tie of space and time, to be honest.
That's crazy isn't it?
But it is because of war and the thoughts war consumes in even peace time.
