So, I can't find any fuzzy or unstructured talking, but anyway. The main concern I have is his full rejection of Renewables.
The whole point is that the grid is not designed for them. He is with his statements fully correct, if renewables are just another large factory. Based on that designe the tech stands no chance against classic industrial age technology.
If looking from a different perspective that might change. The super large solar park in Scotland (?) might be even less effective than cultivating a biomass plant on the same surface of which some have a positive CO2 bill by cleaning more CO2 during coltivation than needed to grow them (guess!).
The large heavy energy needing buildings of all main industries from steel cooking to data farms with all in between are not the point, but if we need laws to enforce the use of energy saving light bulbs we might have to consider laws about turning off the lights when leaving a room.
We got comfortable with bad behaviours, way too comfy for 1 billion humans in industrialized nations, on a 8 billion humans planet.
Renewables must be build where needed and useful. They are Solar, Wind and Biomass. Obviously, will solar be more effective in Greece to heat up a home in winter times than in Scotland where Hemp and Sunchoke grow with no pesticide need and the Irish coast won't need 20 meter high rising pillars to create energy from Wind as in the Black Forest that can be stored in batteries, air pressure tanks or used to heat up ethanol distilleries when running.
The latter is the point that is different and needs to be accepted speaking of Renewables. They are not constant. Today Cargo Ships are not faster than the last generation sailing ships, they are bigger and more continuous in service which is why they outclass sailing ships.
The sad sideffect is Dedicated Trash For Sale Websites like ... Temu, to keep joking, that mange to sell items you seriously don't need and never would have bought downtown offline.
Renewables are the very same. Millions of houses could be turned into little to no need main grid houses, instead the Solar Roof is a symbol of wealth in all areas. There is not one single company, I bet without checking, that offers a combined individual energy use lowering offer for any house in Gallway, Aberdeen, Pozzallo, Kalamato and that might be the no bank finances that there for anyone... not the home owners being fine with using less energy when less is available instead of illuminating the entire premises and running all electronics while cooking with a microwave heating up the UV sauna, at the very same time.
We have deep cutting problems. Attitude to another is a major one, for Christ Sake.
