They will dive deeper into each single lie they made up over the Cold War ever more the worse the crisis becames.
Most other regions of this world will use oil ever more for high-tech materials and use simple ethanol aka pure alcohol for combustion engines, put solar cells up where sun is, erect windmills with a low center of gravity, build magnetic railway systems for cheap and fast human transport and standard iron railways for heavy cargo supply lines, use AI for reasonging and understanding mainly with only few decisions making use cases in complex but non critical systems, work on optimizing systems to human needs and compare their own base philosophies with others from Communist, to Kingdoms and Capitalism.
