So, the Döner is a form of a large Sandwich. It is a in thin slices cut meat mix meat of cattle and lamb that comes from a constantly turning spike. Like a Burger it has a salad, Greek Cheese and some different sauces with a garlic once considered the most classic original option. The bread, that turns it into a Sandwich like dish, is a white flat bread cut open warmed up while the meat is cut off the roll.
In Europe there is only one other dish and one other drink that has a comparable history. Those are both English or British and that would be the Chicken Tikka Masala and before the IPA India Pale Ale beer. Both are exported to India now. In the end of the day is the Masala dish a Chicken Tikka Curry with a tin of mashed Heinz Tomatoes to take off the heat, but keep the spiciness. Today, spicy and hot are two different categories in dining.
The Döner was created in Berlin Kreuzberg when Berlin was still ruled by the Allies being the larges Turkish Community outside of Turkey and during Cold War conquered France, the BeNeLux to be no shy of all of the UK. The only difference is that past Belgium the Fries are put into the Sandwich, while prior to that region there are no Fries in that dish at all.
