Germany has no contract law. Contracting is mentioned in several parts of the law, like those chapters on employment or rent.
That's why that happens.
All I catch is that she had signed a contract on making a movie or play with her in a main role. Then, the contract partner excludes her having trouble to find actors because of that YouTube channel. She minds and they offer a Termination Contract.
In Germany ending a contract by another contract is normal.
That keeps going. They exchange arguments. The other side mentions a mediator paragraph and that she thereby may not use legal counseling like a lawyer, which would terminate the entire contract in the USA by taking off basic citizen rights. The other side also states she would have to cover up to 1.7 million Euros if the project fails. I assume not one paragraph mentions that number.
Germany has no Contract Law that covers rules to terminates contracts if unforeseen or not by paragraphs covered situations arise.
