PS: Interestingly, the German SME (subject matter expert) mentions a river and killings of endogenous people there by local militants aka FARC. Check a map and look for the Orinoco River. Along that river are several main towns embedded into deep Jungle. The river is sailable and this area did not know slavery, as I pointed out. Trade was strong there with especially Europe after the Conquistadores arrived. This river is basically a large combination of railway and motorway, but for several hundred years. The European trade ships were able to enter this river and off load their cargo miles away from the coast line.
