No matter if my Collective Darwinist Theory is correct or not, human makes us that we can self-recognize ourselves. That does not mean that we understand who we look at in a mirror, but that we have self-perception.
From here, having understood ourselves, all our bad and good parts that might derive from primal instincts and different by now mixed mammals the important part in the journey of life starts. Do we support our good or bad habits, instincts and drives?
Do we murder or steal, betray or lie?
To do good it appears mankind first made rules and created concepts of what is bad. I assume most humans do that too by asking themselves if something is bad for them and then avoid it. The next step is to understand what is good and choose that actively and pro-actively.
I wonder if by Industrialization and overall Modernity we are as mankind on a breaking point at which we have understood as man, as humans, as Mankind, what is bad and now thereby look for what is good for us, but this time to finally have as mankind clearly understood Bad.
