As long The West keeps repeating that Russia attacked Ukraine instead of is supporting the in majority Russian populated parts of what once was a unified nation they will keep pushing for nothing less than a Western Regime change.
A proud Russian, such as Putin, will see Russia as the protector or overlord of the Slavic people. Those are Russians, Ukrainians, Pols, Czecks and Slovaks with Serbians taking a special role having adopted Cyrillic as Balkan people being closer to Greeks and Turks than Russians.

If these Syrians capable of synchronizing tank movements like a well trained Special Forces Platoon would have had Terminator tanks being in no 10 second need to reload, they could have operated twice to three times as fast in the same close area that not even IDF can show to dominate on any comparable level.
If Russia is currently only using recruits, of bad character with little education and hope for a successful society enriching civilian life but a lot of appetite for destruction than their actual core force is training... in possibly simulators way off any satellite imagery.
