Monopole responsibilties

Do you know Microsoft? Of course you do and there is no way next to it. Actually, there is and a lawyer at the top of that company saw it as big threat.
Point is, that a contract guy, does not completely understand the technology and at this level will have a certain kind of adivcers.
There are plenty of competitors out actually. Microsoft sells two sets of software. Operating systems for both desktop like computers and server, and a bundle of pretty dominant office software that is even more powerful to run a business.

And this on about 80% on all CPUs. The only reason why nobody bought the all in use smartpone was that it was getting too much for even the end user.
But than there is a lot of other stuff out that is used in niches. From different Linux systems that can be downloaded for free and nobody checks on if you start paying as soon you make money on it in your business, to rather high-end realy nerdy stuff like Unix and BSD there is plenty of actually realy awesome super cool stuff, if you are a propa nerd.

To avoid an anti-trust law suite, but actually to bully back his old mate, they supported Apple, the artist box in constant conflict with the secretary users on who is sexier the manager or creative guy.

Whole point is easy. Don't cut down on the competition by locking up your system even if this means your market share might drop by even 20%, because most likely the overall progress by enabling innovation over creating frustrated headaches on even MIT level will create in the long run stress free more in cash.

Microsoft is locked up source code and you have to pay for. This means you know and the IT security devision knows who hacked it, if anyone. You also know it is a stable product and you can actually sue them, if the update creates down time. It is a standard, that cannot be customised, but if it sais in the CV MS Office expert level you know the person will chill on every Word number list document past even a hundred pages in opposite to the basic level candidate calling out sick next day granted.

Every resource is limited. Instead of taking time to shut down a system even more, and that way most likely disabling third party development that might create more sales, the time needs to be put into improving what is good to be better.

And this is the crack point. Do you improve what is bad, or what is good or do you even try to cut down on what is better next door?

Make a call! WW4 will come. And I shoot precise over incredible distances, because I can feel the bullet travel through the time-space continuum. #TheGoblin if I survive this shit.
