The currently applied tactics in Ukraine might be actually the strategy and not just blunt incapability by all levels of a military force.
That would mean that NATO by 2030 will attack over several thousand kilometres in small and tiny formations to penetrate Russia.
The best way to counter that is the UK Air Defence strategy of WW2. That was hundreds of Anti-Aircraft positions all over the South of England towards the Channel and arround main targets.
That against a Tank and Heavy Infantry main force would be reactivating each single Sowjet small artillery gun most likely still stored, and develop new Anti-Tank and Anti-Personal ammunition placing them into shipping container like standardised mini bunkers at every important position and buy an awefull lot of hatch backs for both fast retreats and supplies.
Than, build even more shoulder pad launched Anti-Tank rockets and build another Helicopter Devision with incredible amounts of simulator time while Iran improves Drones.
That would build a fire carpet as soon as penetrated yet give a good chance to pull a main counter attack force off quickly as soon as the attacker shows holes in his lines by you hooking up the artillery to the hatch back, ammo in the trunk and four guys in.
I am seriously not joking and you need to study Napoleon's use of exactly that small artillery adopting onto counter attacking modern positions.
Training mounting and loading and aiming and firering and hooking up and driving to repeat wins.
