#greenland

 Nobody said that:

Trump cited "national security" as the primary driver, claiming Greenland is essential for a U.S. "Golden Dome" missile defense system to counter potential threats from Russia and China. He specifically targeted these eight nations because they had recently deployed symbolic levels of troops to Greenland for Arctic defense training, which he described as a "very dangerous game"

Ok. I hope Congress puts them down again and hear me here.

Joint Resolution of Disapproval: Under the National Emergencies Act, any member of Congress can force a vote on a joint resolution to terminate the national emergency declaration Trump used to justify the tariffs.

By having alternative means to  counter potential threats from Russia and China.

You keep the B2 Fleet off nuclear weapons as a Good Will gesture, but equip those with supersonic air to air missiles with a direct Satelltite surveillance link over known Russian and Chinese Intercontinental Rocket silols. They won't mind, doing the same with you and presenting those as their Good Will gesture closed.

This means, ideally for an announced time, have the Stratosphere Bomber Fleet circulate again carrying enough air to air missiles to take down potential rockets. That wont be all of them, but the rest of the fleet may stay in steady alert based on the Defcon rules...

just saying. Defcon 3 means mobilization in 15 minutes and may not jump over Defcon 4, which is increased intelligence watch and strengthened security measures. The system is designed to make sure the other side is not provoked. If that idea is from the same Clan that tried to end the A-10 fleet for high altitude bombing, I want someone to demand a full Defcon 4 investigation, by trying to establish a constant Defcon 3 system increasing the chance of a nuclear escalation under the suspicion of espionage or treason.

PS: You have to ask the right questions to get a fine answer:
In short:
Yes, but only in highly specialized tests. No standard air-to-air missile used in daily combat can shoot down an ICBM, but experimental systems have been used to destroy similar high-altitude targets.
The Most Famous Success: F-15 vs. Satellite (1985)
The closest anyone has come to shooting down a space-bound object with a fighter jet was on September 13, 1985.

In words: Eighty Five. When Super Cheesy Was Super Cool.

In 1985, entertainment reached a definitive 80s peak, marked by the arrival of iconic films, the launch of the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in the U.S., and the massive Live Aid global concert.

The definitive "Brat Pack" movie that defined a generation's view of high school.
    The Goonies
An adventure classic about misfits looking for pirate treasure.

     rock history.
"We Are the World": A supergroup called USA for Africa recorded this charity anthem,
which became one of the best-selling singles of all time.

for Fears ("Shout") dominated the radio. Whitney Houston also released her debut self-
    titled album this year.

Video Games & Tech: The NES Revolution
Nintendo Entertainment System (NES): After a limited test launch in New York, the
NES  was released across North America in late 1985, effectively saving the home
console market after the 1983 crash.
    Super Mario Bros.
Released in September 1985, it became the must-have game that defined the
      platformer genre.
    Tetris
Created in the USSR by Alexey Pajitnov, the addictive block-stacking game made its
     debut this year.
Computing: Microsoft released Windows 1.0, and Steve Jobs famously resigned from
     Apple.

Television & Other Pop Culture
    TV Debuts:
    The Golden Girls
    MacGyver
    Growing Pains
    and Larry King Live
    all premiered in 1985.

March 31, launching a global entertainment phenomenon.
Calvin and Hobbes: The iconic comic strip by Bill Watterson made its debut in
     November.
The "New Coke" Blunder: In one of the biggest marketing mistakes ever, Coca-Cola
changed its formula in April, only to bring back "Coke Classic" months later due to
     intense public backlash.
