The top commentator says some about an unsymmetrical back you just can't get over as soon as having started focusing on it and I am 100% confident that that's pretty dam accurate, if I just could point out which he means.

I have have had to have such conversations. Apparently, it must happen at the third date. except American chicks, and I mean chicks. They either fuck you on first or see you never again.
Then I figured that my English buddy tried to ask me out about German dating and I had to tell him a blunt: "I don't know", to having to further explain that I with one exception never dated a German woman. Either a local hardly German, a Turkish insisting to be no German or an American. That one exception included no dating. Don't worry and we can call it love on first sight.

For the rest of the world: Trenches in warfare are supposed to be fast moving lines of defense and make only sense if stretching out systematically, ideally around a core base or camp.
 
Even so dug out positions usually covered with trees and fauna appear to be trenches, they are not.  They are dugouts. 
 
Grammatical Breakdown
 
Verb: To dig out → dug out (past tense).
 
Adjective (Modifying a noun): A dug-out position. 
(Usually hyphenated when it comes right before the noun it describes).
 
Noun (The place itself): A dugout. (Combined into a single word).

WW1 was so bad, because those lines of defense were repurposed into waiting positions for large amounts of badly trained and quickly recruited Soldiers by Generals under the influence of hard drugs, as those tactics and orders make no sense to any clear, military educated mind.

Trenches were included into Fortress fortifications as their last evolutionary step to create a further out reaching buffer zone against long range artillery. They were not supposed to take artillery fire, yet allow fast infantry movements, but industrial mass production allowed the production of so incredible huge amounts of even heavy long range artillery that the shells were used in massive amounts against not only the core and strongest bunker fortifications, but against about every possible position.
 
The use was so excessive that even the just created Tanks, made to overrun trench positions secured by large amounts of barbwire, got stuck in the mud fields the artillery bombardments created. Lines such as the West Wall and also the French Maginot Line were the concrete purred excess of Material over Strategy mind sets and had factually little to no impact in military terms.
 
The only logic explanation for the excess of both world wars is excessive wide spread drug use combined with utter incompetence. 
 
That means, if the Ukrainian side uses Trenches for psychological reasons rather then as a tactical or strategical asset, the Russian military psychologists can create tactic and strategy adjustments teaching attacking Russian forces to predict enemy movements and to the final positions of those movements.

To understand how trench warfare is supposed to be done check this out
The Trench is dug into a mud land next to a ruin. The player immediately rushes out of his covered position entering the ruin. That is typical Counter-Strike adopted tactics having not understood or acknowledged the game title.

Instead, the player should have used all available cover, such as the trench, but also the building and even the muddy, uneven ground with its dead trees to establish situational awareness while trying to stay covered as long as possible before engaging a fire fight having established a tactically superior position or being spotted. 
 
Patient couciones, a very lot mud all over and precise shots as if it was a chess game and no mud catching competition of hit and run... 
 
After watching fifteen minutes of respawning, having lost about a week of recruits, it appears that the Ruin is the center of attention. As much as it should make obvious and immediate sense that a flashlight pointed onto a T section of a trench informs every enemy on the lower side of the T about the presence of yourself, the Ruin might not be the first choice if there is no coordination with comrade soldiers what so ever to engage several enemies heading there. 
Jumping into a position that requires 360 turns while looking for hostiles, is pretty much exactly a suicide bombers plan, but not for any infantry.
 
What about staying covered, avoiding the Ruin and instead finding a flanking position that gives a clear line of fire and is within the hand grenade throwing distance, after the first exchanges of rounds, to run off into a secondary position using the cover of the trenches as soon facing being out gunned?

They will happily pay 50 Euros for my few cent glass and think back every here and than to that experience when a delivery driver, a cleaner or anyone else triggers them to thinking.... that there is time for everything on our all persuit to happiness.
