is digging in a reinforced 20ft standard shipping container that comes with hygiene installation, rest furniture, communication installation, ammo depo and spotting and firing slots separated by a pipe frame chassis and several layers of ballistic nylon and carbon fibre plates avoiding too much overall wheight to balance the missing concrete foundation in wet grassland soil.

Considering the shown US equipment you have been given defence force gear. 

The potential enemy is a high level main force attacking. You can and will not cross border without Heavy Main Battle Tanks, AC-10 and Apaches. It would be a suicide order. 

You can create a field base, but I no Iraq like Camp.

The heavy Artillery with black cover needs to be put into a strategically selected forest providing more solid ground and air recon cover than the open field showcased. You need way more green camouflage net ontop, latterly on top, of the night cover and digg trenches for supply lines.

The heavy Anti Aircraft guns need to be placed circular around the Artillery core of the field base, but three to four miles away targeting Super Sonic Jets as most likely attacking enemies. 

All wheel tanks will connect that line of defence and digged machine gun positions that also need a sufficient amount of Anti-Tank and Anti-Aircraft shoulder launched rockets up to ten miles around the Artillery core and covered half digged sleep containers. Only sniper and heavy infantry walk around exploring the wide area in-between the field base positions understanding and cartographing available natural cover.

You have to come in low and fast. The winds are down winds and the airplanes get caught in them as crosswinds to the actual flight direction. Winds will bounce of the ground and create the slip winds in higher levels above 5 to 10 meters shaking the plane designed to create lift by front winds ontop of changing unwinds. 

The airplane can avoid them by going almost ground effect low coming in with a higher speed to set down early on the airfield strip going down to 15 meters 1000 meters before the airfield.
